VACANCIES OF SUB INSPECTOR PUNJAB POLICE!

Recently PPSC has announced 430 sub inspector vacancies in Punjab police .The vacancies announced have two categories.

  1.  SERVICE QUOTA
  2.  OPEN MARIT
  • The total numbers of seats announced in services quota are 85. BY service quota they mean that in this field only low ranked police man can apply.
  • The total numbers of seats announced in open merit quota are 345. By open merit they mean that anybody meeting the eligibility criteria can apply on theses vacancies.

Important points:

  1. The last date to apply is (12 NOVEMBER 2020).
  2. You must have physical certificate with you ( term will be explained later)
  3. Must fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility:

Academic criteria

  1. Minimum education is graduation with second division. Individuals with marks less than second division will not be entertained.

Physical criteria for males

  1. Minimum height 5feet 7inches (170.18cm)
  2. Minimum chest 33’’-34.5’’
  3. Standard vision 6/9 with or without glasses.

Physical criteria for females

  1.  Minimum height of  5 feet 2 inches (157.48 cm)
  2. Standard vision 6/9 with or without glasses.

Certificate of physical standards:

  1. A very important certificate .And if you don’t have this you are ineligible for vacancy.

How to get Certificate of Physical standards:

  1. Certificate of Physical Standard is issued by the Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospitals or Service Hospital, Lahore or Police Hospitals shall be accepted under the Regulations /Policy Decisions. However, Medical Fitness Certificate issued within three (03) months prior to the closing date of the Advertisement shall be acceptable subject to the condition that the candidate fulfills all other requirements of Physical Standards prescribed for the post.
  2. Medical Certificate issued after the closing date and revision in Physical Standards after the closing dates shall not be accepted.

Test includes:

  • General knowledge (20%)

  1. It includes Pakistan affairs (incidents happened in Pakistan history e.g. dates of marshal laws, Ministries names, APS, major cities, economic condition of Pakistan, heads of institutions )
  2. Current affairs( things happened all around world e.g. war of Armenia and Azerbaijan, USA elections, current epidemic conditions )
  3. Islamic studies(prophets, caliph, hajj)
  4. Geography(al deserts, oceans, deepest place )
  5. Fundamental rights(e.g. right of speech)
  6. Urdu(history of Urdu, famous poets and their books )
  7. Basic math(math until 10 standard like LCM, HCF, equations)
  8. Everyday science(e.g. which is heavier 1kg of cotton or 1 kg of water, basic physics)
  •  English (40%)

  1.  Synonyms (mostly refers as the single word meaning of that word)
  2. Antonyms (words opposite in meaning to that word)
  3. Sentence corrections and completion
  4. One word substation
  5. idioms
  •  I.T and Language Comprehension (40%)

  1. It includes Usage of Basic Software like M.S Office, Electronic Record Keeping, Internet, E-mail. (these marks are of free so try to score high in it)

Preparations:

  1. Take a world map and put it on wall .Give that map 15 min of reading daily you will experience a change in you.
  2. Take a good book of GK like books of caravan.
  3. As English is an important aspect in this test take a good grammar .like wren and martin try to analyze it.
  4. Read newspaper daily and keep yourself up to date.
  5. Listen BBC headlines daily from now.
  6. Everybody knows basics about computer if you don’t know start leaning from YouTube.
